ESSE Adult Day Services Diamond Celebration ( 30th Anniversary) Fundraiser was held at Maggiano’s in Naperville on Friday evening May 11th. It was attended by 100 friends of ESSE who enjoyed a delicious dinner, silent aution and raffle!

We raffled off a 42in Vizio TV donated by Law ElderLaw and had numerous items on the silent auction which everyone generously bid on.

Dorothy Stein, one of the founders of ESSE was presented with the Legacy Award in recognition of her inspiring leadership and commitment to those we serve.

Robotic Seal Visits Esse

Johnnie, Carol and MaryAnn interact with the PARO Robot Seal. Passages Hospice provided an hour of “play” for the participants at our Wheaton ESSE center with this interactive robot which provides psychological and social benefits.

 

“EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN AWARD”

ESSE was nominated and recieved the “Everything Under the Sun Award” at the Governors” Conference, Dec 9,2011. ESSE Centers are recognized for our outstanding services to older adults in the State of Illinois.

The Illinois Department on Aging hosts an annual awards ceremony to recognize individuals and organizations whose contributions and accomplishments in assisting older adults merit recognition. Each year the awards ceremony serves as the final event during the Governor’s Conference on Aging where advocates and experts gather to focus on issues that affect the aging population.

The Executive Director Cathy Davit and Managers of the 3 facilities attended the luncheon at the Marriott Hotel in Chicago to recieve the award which was a beautiful engraved plaque.

PODIATRIST VISIT

Approximately every two months Dr. Zimmerman visits each ESSE site.
Inform an ESSE staff member if you would like Dr. Zimmerman to examine your loved one.
Caregivers-this is a convenient way to ensure necessary, routine foot care and to be examined for other foot related problems
(Dr. Zimmerman accepts Medicare and supplemental insurance)
